Descripton of the village & people:  Tropang Phlong 1 Village is located in Ponhea Kraek District, Tboung Khmum Province which is about 124 km (77 mi) north of the capital, Phnom Penh City. The total population of this village is around 1,269 people. Most of the families in this village are poor, though some earn average incomes. The main occupation of the people in this village is farming. They plant cassava, rubber tree, rice, morning glory, eggplant, string bean, pumpkin, gourd, cucumber and tomato. ln another part of the village, the people have small businesses selling fish, pork, beef, chicken and green vegetables to support their families. Their income depends on their daily sales. Many of the villagers leave their homes to travel to the nearby town or big city in order to find work. ln this village, there is a problem of contaminated water, because they have never had a clean water system. It is especially difficult during the dry season because the open well dries up, leaving the villagers struggling to search for water elsewhere.
Description of the well dedication:  There were around 15 people present for the dedication ceremony. The local pastor shared the word of God and the love of Jesus with the people. He said to them, "In the Bible it says in John 4:13-14, Jesus answered, 'Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. lndeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.' We must always have trust and faith in God. He is ready to bless everyone with all of their needs. God gave an invitation to abundant life so that everyone who comes to Him will never be forsaken. Everyone who receives His blessings will never starve for anything. He always forgives those who come to Him and confess. And He does not want any one of us to perish but to have everlasting life." Pastor closed in prayer and gave glory to God.

Hygiene Lecture: After the dedication, Pastor Nadabo gave a hygiene lecture for those present at the well site. He talked to them about the need to take good care of the well and its environment. They were also encouraged to store their drinking water in a clean container at home after fetching from the bore well. They were all happy and excited about the information.

Outreach and number of salvations: 3
Expressions of appreciation by the villagers:

Mr. Ngoen Khon, 60-yr-old resident of the village : "I am really glad to see the well being drilled in my village because we have never had a proper source of water before. lt has been especially difficult for us in the dry season. But during the rainy season I am able to collect the rain water for my family to use. These water sources were not enough for all of us in the village and they were not clean. I would make sure to boil the water before we used it. But I am really thankful to God because now I don't need to find water anymore or spend time walking to fetch water from the open well. I have this new pump close to my house so I can use it more conveniently. It grants good quality water. This new pump well helps my family a lot. Now we have safe water for drinking, cooking, bathing, washing and watering my green vegetables to support my family. Even my children can pump water because it's so easy to use. We never expected to receive something like this. By God's grace we have this gift of water. Thank you!"
