  • Approximate population of the village: 150
  • Number of beneficiaries of this project: 100
  • Closest water source before this project: The church and college have depended on
water tanker services and also harvested rain water for their use.
Description of the Project: A new well was constructed in the village. The inside was cemented with concrete and a 25-foot pipe with a new Nira pump was provided to dispense the water.

History and Description of the School & Students:  Solid Rock Baptist College was first established in Tema, Greater Accra, about 34 years ago to help train Christians who have the call of God on their lives. In the year 2001, the leadership fount it necessary, and with the direction of God, to begin a branch at Dobro Nsawam to help Christians to know more of the scriptures and become pastors and church leaders.

Currently, they have about 150 students studying at the college, doing different courses in Theology. Their facilities are well built with concrete blocks and cement, and have zinc roofs. Electricity is available at the college. They also have a church auditorium in which to worship. On Sundays, other people in the community come to worship there. Most of the people at the college have taken leave from their jobs to undergo religious training, so they must spend some time growing crops like okra, tomatoes, maize, cassava and pepper to supply the college refectory.
Description of the well dedication:  About 20 people attended the well dedication ceremony. A short presentation was shared by Pastor Joseph Kpebu, who encouraged the people to show the love of Jesus towards each other. He admonished the gathering to take good care of the facility so that many can benefit.

Hygiene Lecture: After the dedication, Pastor Nadabo gave a hygiene lecture for those present at the well site. He talked to them about the need to take good care of the well and its environment. They were also encouraged to store their drinking water in a clean container at home after fetching from the bore well. They were all happy and excited about the information.
Expressions of appreciation by the villagers:
