  • Closest water source before this project: The villagers had to walk about 4 km (2.5 mi) to another part of town
    to fetch water for their daily use.
Descripton of the village & people: The people of Amanshia village, a suburb of Suhum, come from different tribes, with most of them working as peasant farmers and traders. They have a school and church available to the community.

Description of the project: A new well was constructed and provided with a hand pump to dispense the water.
Tetteh Frances, village resident: "It was a day of joy when we heard that a well would be constructed for us. Thank you for being so selfless and helping us out of this discomfort. We truly appreciate what you have done and will follow your advice to follow God. We will always be praying for you."
Madam Ama, village resident: "We are very grateful to you for the good work you have undertaken for us. I am very happy and have personally made a vow to protect and clean the well daily. Thank you for your great help."
Descripton of the well dedication: A presentation of the Gospel was given to the people by the Living Water ministry. The people were asked to accept and live for the Lord. Those who made the decision were prayed for and advised to fellowship with any Bible believing church of their choice. About 53 people attended the ceremony. 5 made decisions to live for the Lord.
