Operation Blessing International - Living Water Projects: Ghana
  • Dedication:
  • Village: Achempim, Denkyira East Municipal Assembly, Central Region
  • Plaque Inscription: Sponsored by small beginnings BIG RESULTS
In Honor of John & Jimmie Jones - Bob & Chris Carlson, commissioned March 2011
  • Approximate population of the village: 1,300
  • Number of beneficiaries of this project: 1,300
  • Closest water source before this project: The people had to walk 3 km (2 mi) to another village to fetch water for home use.
Descripton of the village & people: The village, because of its proximity to the district capital, is fast growing and new houses are springing up. Thye are mostly cocoa and food crop farmers, but there are small scale miners as well. There is a school that caters to the children and there are also churches and mosques for the people.

Description of the project: The elastic sleeve of the existing well and other worn out parts were replaced, after which the pump began to work properly.
George Asamoah, head of the community: "Many attempts at repairing this pump came to naught and we always lived in desperation. Thank you greatly for all that youhave done for us."
Grace Awuah, resident: "We can now give sighs of relief because this nightmare of a life is virtually over and done with. Thank you CBN for this timely intervention."
Descripton of the well dedication: There was a presentation of the gospel and the people were warned of the imminent coming of the Lord and advised to surrender their lives to Him. Those who made this decision were prayed for and advised to fellowship with any Bible-believing church of their choice. 30 people attended the function.
